CHARALAMPOS DEMIRIS was born in Eresos, Lesvos, Greece in 1943.

He worked at the National Bank of Greece for 37 years, until his retirement, when he held the rank of Director. During these years, he was involved with trainging employees of banks and other financial institutions and co-authored the following finance related books:

• Αξιόγραφα (θεωρία και πράξη), published by the National Bank of Greece
• Νέα χρηματοοικονομικά προϊόντα, published by the National Bank of Greece
• Χρηματοδοτήσεις (θεωρία και πράξη), published by the Hellenic Bank Association.

After retirement, he started working on collecting linguistic, demographic, and folklore data for his birth place, Eresos of Lesvos.

The aforementioned material was finally organized and recorded in the following books and albums:

• Λεξικό Γλωσσικού Ιδιώματος Ερεσού Λέσβου, published by the "Theophrastos" association
• Γενεαλογία Ερεσού Λέσβου, 150 χρόνια (1850-2000), published by the "O Pharos Tis Eresou"
• Νύφες Ερεσού 1900-1950, published by the "Theophrastos" association
• Ξωκλήσια Ερεσού Λέσβου, published by the "Theophrastos" association
• Ερέσιοι εν όπλοις (1900-1950), published by the "Theophrastos" association
• Ερέσιοι στην Αφρική, published by the "Theophrastos" association

He is married, has two daughters and four grand-children.

GEORGIOS LAMPRIANIDIS was born in Marousi, Athens, Greece on 1984.

He studied at the National Technical University of Athens where he got his MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2009 and was awarded his PhD in Computer Science later in 2017.

His work experience involves start-ups and multinational software and internet companies, both in Greece and abroad. During his academic training he published the following papers.

His love for Eresos, the birth place of his mother, Thiresia Tragoudi, started at the very young age of 3, when he started visiting the island during the summers, with his parents and aunt Anastasia. He still visits the island every year.

Motivated by Charalampos' amazing work, and after discussing with him, they decided to make the Genealogy data available as a web application, so that it can be viewed by a bigger audience and also motivate younger generations to get involved in recording and preserving our history and roots.
